Chinese Training Class Opened at Kenya Airport Authority

On October 9, the Chinese training class opened at the training Centre of Kenya Airport Authority. Zhong Xingxiang, director of the Chinese Embassy in Kenya, Alex Gitari, the chief financial officer of the Airport Authority, on behalf of Airport Management Office, and Professor Njeru, on behalf of the president of the University of Nairobi, attended the ceremony. Besides, Some volunteers and teachers from Confucius Institute and all the students attended the opening ceremony.

During the opening ceremony, Zhong Xingxiang made a speech, and he hoped that the Chinese language training course would be held smoothly, so that the work of the airport authority would be more efficient and the pertinent relationship would be further developed. Speaking on behalf of the Airport Authority, Alex Gitari, said the Chinese language training would increase their competitiveness in their peers and hope to be able to provide better service to the Chinese in Kenya. This year, Chinese bridge winners Zhang Meiling, together with Dai Qian performed respectively for the ceremony.

With the continuous warming up of Sino-African trade cooperation in recent years, learning Chinese has become a strong trend, the Kenyan Airport authority realizes the importance of mastering Chinese to the airport, and under the joint impetus of the Chinese Embassy in Kenya, the Chinese training course has finally commenced today. Considering the features of the work in the airport, Confucius Institute of the University of Nairobi specifically tailored basic courses for them, which is based on oral training, follows the rules of language learning and also joins the relevant interesting cultural knowledge and etiquette, hoping to enrich the contents of the course, so that the staff of the airport authority can learn more about Chinese culture and customs. We hope to help them in their future work, and create a more efficient and speedy environment for Chinese citizens to handle everything.
