Confucius Institute's clubs performed at StarTimes

The Confucius Institute university of Nairobi attended a major event (Kung Fu) hosted by StarTimes Kenya, the event took place on 5th November, 2016 at KICC. The Institute performed te Lion dance, singing Nunchaku (Kungfu) and dancing.
 
The Director, Confucius Institute Prof. Guo Hong and Mrs. Xu led the team of six volunteers and students to the event at 10.00 a.m.
The students in the dance club performed two dances Zuixuan Zhongguo Hong and La Meizi. The students performed two songs Gesheng yu Weixiao and Bange Yueliang. 
All those brilliant demonstrations gingered up the atmosphere of the Kungfu Festival. After the show, all the teachers and students ate lunch together as a team. Also enjoying the great performances performed by the local stars.
In the end, The Director Guo led the students took photos with the teachers who are in charge of their clubs. Not only the students had a good weekend together but also they proclaim the Chinese arts to the local people and expanded the influence of the Confucius Institute in Kenya.

The daylong event was celebrated of one of StarTimes flagship Kung Fu channel and was blended Chinese and African culture in marking 5 years since the channel was introduced.
