Student Clubs of Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi Were Invited to Perform for the Annual Meeting of Barclays

On January 20th, Barclays held its annual meeting. Three student clubs of Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi were invited to perform for the annual meeting. It is worth mentioning that Ruiya, the hostess of the meeting, was a student of Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi. She went to China to study Chinese for three years through a project of the institute. Now, she is a Chinese teacher in a local school.

First, the dance club performed a Chinese dance named “Lameizi”. The red dancing dresses and the bright smile make the atmosphere lively. Then, the lion dance club gave their performance. The students displayed the lion vividly that won warm applause from guests. After that, the dance club performed another dance named “Saima”. The wonderful performance brought the atmosphere to a climax. At last, two members from the choir club sang a Dong minor. The ethereal melody made the guests enchanted. As the Chinese New Year is coming, the great performance just sent holiday regards to all the guests.

Barclays was set up in 1690 which is one of the world's largest banks and financial institutions. Barclays has a history of more than 100 years in Kenya.
