On March 25th 2017, the Choir club from Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi was invited to the concert for the establishment of the General Chamber of Commerce of Kenya.
The Kenya Chinese Chamber of Commerce is composed of representatives from Chinese society. It aims at uniting all the Chinese nationals living and working in Kenya while maintaining the interests of Chinese businessmen and promoting economic and trade development. They are actively supporting and cooperating with the Kenyan government in planning for economic and social development and are also enthusiastic about social welfare and education. In order to expand the influence of the Chamber of Commerce, they invited the Confucius Institute Choir to sing the Chinese songs "Half Moon Up", "Good Day", and local song "Malaika" and" Shombo ", and the Chinese and Swahili local folk song" Hello ". The high level of the choir won the warm applause of the guests.
After several years of development, the Chinese choir at CIUON has not only become a brand club in the Confucius Institute, but also has become a bridge to the culture of China. They active in the cultural exchanges, economic cooperation on the platform, with their own songs to convey the good wishes and friendly cooperation.
