Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi Held Graduation of Short-term Chinese Training Course for Immigration & KRA KAA

On March 2nd, Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi held graduation of short-term Chinese training course for Immigration & KRA KAA. Ms. Joseph Munywoki , Deputy Director of Immigration Services, Mr. Joseph Anindo, Assistant Director of Immigration Services.  Ms. Beatrice Muthoga, Assistance Manager Airport Security of KAA. Ms. Risper Omondi, Manager training of KAA. Ms. Winfred Kinyua, Supervisor Passenger Terminal of KRA. Mr Kamau Ng'ang'a, Chief Manager of KRA.  Mr. Wang Xuezheng, Councilor of Chinese Embassy, Prof Xiao Shan, Director of CIUON, Prof Enos Njeru, Principal CHSS and Dr. Jane Oduor chair linguistics and languages attended the graduation.

At the beginning, Leah, student of CIUON performed a sword dance  which is one of the traditional Chinese dance combined beauty an power. Then, the graduates from Immigration & KRA KAA performed scene plays in Chinese language to show their daily work.

 After the performance, Prof. Xiao Shan, Director Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi,  Mr. Wang Xuezheng, Councilor of Chinese Embassy gave welcoming remarks. Xiao congratulated the Immigration & KRA KAA on their graduation and expressed her thanks to Chinese Embassy, Immigration, KRA  KAA and University of Nairobi for all their support all through the program. Wang also congratulated the students.

 In the end, the guests issued the certificates to Immigration & KRA KAA staff.

The graduation ended with the a group photo.

With the further development and relationship between China and Kenya, more and more Chinese travel and work in Kenya. The first intimate contact the Visitors have with Kenya is with the Immigration & KRA KAA officers. The Chinese training course given to the Immigration and KRA KAA officers will not only provide convenience to Chinese who come to Kenya, but also will create conditions for in-depth understanding and cooperation between China and Kenya.
