In October this year, China celebrated its 69th birthday. On this national holiday,acting Chinese ambassador,Li Xuhang , accompanied by Director of the press and public relations department Zhang Gang,Director of the consular department Zhong Xingxiang,Director Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi Xiao Shan and Deputy vice chancellor University of Nairobi PROF. Isaac Mbeche.visited the staff at the Confucius Institute.

Counsellor Li Xuhang inquired about the teachers' living and working conditions in detail and said that the embassy would give timely help in case of any difficulties. At the same time, he also fully affirmed the hard work of Confucius Institute teachers and volunteer teachers in spreading Chinese language and culture, and hoped that Confucius Institute would continue to play its role in making contributions towards enhancing understanding and friendship between the people of the belt and road initiative hence promoting mutual understanding among the people.

On this National holiday, all the staff from Confucius Institute University of Nairobi still stick to their jobs, celebrate their motherland's birthday in their jobs and contribute their modest strength to the cause of promoting Chinese teaching.
