Club members have the chance to attend free summer/winter camps in China, participate in cultural activities, and perform at various events.

Membership Requirements

To join, you must be enrolled in at least one of the classes at Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi.

CAMPS

Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi offers opportunities to participate in summer or winter camps in China annually. The participants will have the opportunity to visit cities like Beijing and Tianjin, where they can immerse themselves in China's cultural heritage, explore its rich history, and enhance their language skills in an authentic environment

There are two types of camps:

1. Sponsored Camps:

CIUON selects students with outstanding academic performance in the Chinese language and active participation in clubs for a sponsored summer/winter camp in China.

2. Self-Funded Camps:

Participants cover their own round-trip airfare, visa, and study expenses in China.

The cost for a two-week camp is typically between Ksh 200,000 to Ksh 250,000 (this is a reference price, not the final cost). For detailed travel plans and arrangements, please consult the Confucius Institute directly.
