Chinese Culture Activities at the Kenya National Library

On April 8th, 2022, Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi (CIUON) was invited by the Kenya National Library to participate in the "Shining China" event. Twenty students and teachers from CIUON attended. A cultural booth was set up by CIUON teachers and students where guests and the audience  were invited to learn Chinese songs as well as to experience Chinese culture .

During the event, Hilda, a member of the Chinese Choir of CIUON, guided the audience to sing the Chinese version of the Kenyan song "Jambo" and the Chinese song "Molihua". Subsequently, the teachers and students of CIUON prepared and led the audience to experience three Chinese cultural activities: kite-making, Chinese calligraphy and face painting. 
The guests and the audience had a lot of fun learning about Chinese culture while experiencing it first hand.
