CIUON AT THE MARY HILL GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE CHINESE LANGUAGE CLUB CULTURE ACTIVITY

On July 28th , the 2022 Maryhill Girls' High School Chinese Club opened its Chinese language course. The students welcomed Peter, a native Chinese teacher CIUON, Antony, the course lecturer, and Michelle, the intern teacher with unprecedented enthusiasm.

Maryhill Girls' High School Chinese Language Club is jointly established by the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi and Maryhill Girls' High School. It provides students who love Chinese language and culture with Chinese language courses and cultural exchange opportunities. More than 100 students participated in this Chinese course.

The lecture, Mr. Antony Kahuro, also returned the enthusiasm of the students with his humorous localized Chinese teaching and serious teaching attitude. He taught the students basic Chinese and daily expressions in the class. The "Chopsticks Challenge" was then launched. Students not only learned Chinese in class, but also experienced the connotation of Chinese culture in the actual use of chopsticks.
