On the afternoon of April 5th, 2022, Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi successfully held a "Kite Workshop" event where more than 20 participants attended. The activity was co-led by the Chinese director Prof. Wang Shangxue and local Chinese teacher Mr. Peter. Participants were introduced to the traditional Chinese festival "Qingming Festival" and the tradition of kite flying, kite culture and kite-making methods. Participants made kites on the spot and voted for the best kite of this activity. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and people hoped that similar events will be held more often in the future.
