To celebrate the 13th UN Chinese Language Day, Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi (CIUON) held a Fast-learn Chinese challenge. Teachers and students of CIUON went to different campuses to interact with students randomly, teach simple Chinese, and record students' learning results. During the activities, students found that learning Chinese was not so difficult, and they were full of confidence and interest in learning Chinese. Many students inquired on the registration process for the courses with the intent to study Chinese in the future.

On April 8th, 2022, Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi (CIUON) was invited by the Kenya National Library to participate in the "Shining China" event. Twenty students and teachers from CIUON attended. A cultural booth was set up by CIUON teachers and students where guests and the audience  were invited to learn Chinese songs as well as to experience Chinese culture .

For the purpose of cultivating qualified international Chinese language teachers and facilitating Chinese language education in other countries, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education (CLEC) established the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (hereinafter, "Scholarship").

On the afternoon of April 5th, 2022, Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi successfully held a "Kite Workshop" event where more than 20 participants attended. The activity was co-led by the Chinese director Prof. Wang Shangxue and local Chinese teacher Mr. Peter. Participants were introduced to the traditional Chinese festival "Qingming Festival" and the tradition of kite flying, kite culture and kite-making methods. Participants made kites on the spot and voted for the best kite of this activity.

In order to keep abreast of the new situation and promote the development of online international Chinese language education, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, MOE (hereafter referred as “Center”) initiated online programs under International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarships (hereafter referred as “online program”). As one of the host universities, Tianjin Normal University (TNU) provides the application procedures as follows:
